Reflect on your 2022.

Most of us do this, knowingly or just casually.

Some of us have detailed processes to go thru and some of us just use the holiday period to reflect on the year that passed by.

I am trying to do this.

By doing so, I am heading to a better, simpler workflow that enables me to do things more productively while being joyful and mindful.

I can’t live without the apps that support me day in and out.

And this is not a bad thing, for sure.

How many apps?

This is a very personal question.

Personally, for me,

  • a note-taking app
  • a task manager
  • a calendar
  • a project and knowledge management app

These 4 are the primary pillars of my workflow and I spent and invest most of my time in these 4 apps.

In my article on Most used app 2021; I quoted:

from interest only to work in progress

and the year 2022 was surely a year of work in progress.

The following were the apps that I planned to use the most as my daily support system for 2022.

  1. Mem.ai for primary notetaking
  2. Notion.so for project management
  3. Things 3 as my task manager
  4. Craft.do for my secondary notetaking

The year 2022 has offered many opportunities to explore apps and by doing so, I can understand my own requirements better.

To my surprise, the workflow is almost changed now.

  1. Reflect.app for my notetaking
  2. Amie.so as my task manager and preferred calendar
  3. Coda.io for project and resource management
  4. xTiles.app for brainstorming and idea building

Let me share my very brief reasons below, as you can find my detailed blog post on each of the above on Medium

Reflect.app

  • Super-fast and very intuitive user experience
  • Clean UX and end-to-end encryption
  • Amazing backlinks
  • Calendar integration
  • Kindle integration

Amie.so

  • Beautiful and delightful to use the app
  • Task management and scheduling with Amie.so is super easy
  • supports my idea to work from the calendar like a charm

Coda.io

  • Tables inside Coda.io has the superpower
  • Brings the best experience of documents & tables with buttons and views

xTiles.app

  • A whiteboard helps me think clearly and the xTiles.app is the perfect find to do this
  • For ideas and any kind of creative thinking and brainstorming, xTiles is the perfect solution for me.

Looking forward to a long-term commitment with this main 4.

Also, will keep sharing my learning, and experience with each of the above and many more in 2023.

Thanks for reading and all the ideas are welcomed, as always.

Keep reading and keep sharing.
