Kortex: Why I made this decision?

I am a confused man, not because of my lack of knowledge about the apps but because of my experience about them.

And while I am going thru a decision making about my preferred writing app, I understand the first Shiva-Sutra ‘Knowledge is bondage’ And because I had experienced and used many apps thru out my journey. The entire experience of choosing the right app for my writing became a little too long exercise for me.

I believe in using a carefully curated selection of apps, dedicated to serving me in the long run. This time, though, I wanted a tool that not only facilitates writing but also contributes to honing my writing skills. The app and the craft must evolve together.

Enter Kortex, the app that piqued my curiosity. Despite having a sufficient free tier for my basic needs, I opted to invest in the premium version to solidify my commitment to both the app and my development as a writer. Here’s why Kortex rose above the rest:

My Established Workflow

For over 20 months, I’ve adhered to a reliable workflow, involving:

I delight in the ongoing developments and improvements of these tools. From Fabric’s recap and voice capture capabilities to Todoist’s calendar synchronization, Capacities’ mobile enhancements, and Craft’s version 3.0, these features have fortified my loyalty to them.

Even without an immediate need for change, my enthusiasm for exploring new tools led me to discover Kortex.

Why Kortex?

1. Minimalist Design and Focused Interface

Kortex has one of the best interface and design, this is what I meant by ‘designed for writers and creators’. The clean, minimalist theme with ease of pane navigation and support to quick capture, makes Kortex my favorite place to write.

2. Writer-Centric Features

The design and experience is made for writers. Features like ease of quick capture, tags, connections and elements to facilitate organization, search and templating of documents makes this app special for writers.

The entire feature list is kind of designed and developed for keeping writers needs in mind.

3. Community & Roadmap

I am big believer of community and support, Kore Community has been one of the best amongst the entire ‘productivity app’ space. The webinar and active learning experience of Kortex is really excellent and I am really planning to get most out of them to learn the skill.

Initially during my primary use I was not so sure about the immediate development of this app but I am positively wrong about it. Recently Kortex team is actively working on key feature development and also sharing the roadmap clearly.

One more reason for my commitment.

The Investment in Growth

Investing in Kortex financially is a testament to my dedication not only to the app but also to my growth as a writer. By financially committing to a tool that aligns with my aspirations, I am more inclined to use it consistently and hold myself accountable in my pursuit of mastery.

Conclusion

Choosing Kortex was not a decision I made lightly. It reflects my aspiration to focus, simplify, and invest in an app that aligns with my values and aspirations. By embracing Kortex, I am embracing growth, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence in my writing endeavors. This journey reaffirms that true progress often lies not in the breadth of choices but in the depth of commitment.
