How Craft Transforms My Writing Routine: An Indispensable Tool for Creativity and Productivity
My Writing Platform — On the go, On the desk — Craft.
In the ever-evolving world of apps, where every new tool promises to revolutionize how we work, I often find myself indulging in the allure of trying out the latest and greatest. Sometimes it’s out of sheer curiosity, and other times because a particular app is just too compelling to ignore. That’s how Craft found its way into my digital toolkit, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny.
Why Craft?
Firstly, Craft is simply too good to pass up. I need a reliable app for jotting down ideas on the go on my iPhone and there any many good options like Bear, Drafts, Reflect are available which are already tried and tested personally. I found that I am personally enjoying the natively build, aesthetically pleasing experience of Craft. I am no designer by any means but you don’t need to be a designer to appreciate the design and experience the app offers.
The pleasant experience of Craft is seamless across the devices and platform including my Windows laptop., ensuring that I am always on top of my writing be it on the go or at a desk. The export capabilities — supporting formats like PDF and JPEG — are the cherry on top, making it an essential part of my workflow.
To add some context, I already utilize Capacities for project management. It is one of the best fit for my workflow and the transition from Tana was also pretty good. However, based on my personal experience and learning I am not looking at Capacities or any one app as a single source of truth and was looking for an exclusive writing app.
Craft with the sleek design and robust functionality caught my eye. It not only met but exceeded my expectations for a note-taking app and aligned perfectly with my vision of writing remotely.
The Craft Advantage
The more you use Craft, the more you appreciate. The aesthetically pleasing interface, writing experience and rich features, brings a touch of elegance to everyday productivity and writing.
Craft is a perfect writing assistant for me. I use it to write, capture my thoughts on the go. Generally, during short flights I capture my thoughts in Craft. Not just as an amazing writing pad but it also serves a good ai assistant too. I like to use Ai assistant in building ideas, creating hooks and also a suggestion in Titles of blog posts.
Everything works just superb in Craft. I like the simplified universal slash command for almost everything.
Craft’s development trajectory is also promising. The ‘whiteboard and presentation mode’ promises to add another layer of utility, potentially allowing me to export notes as presentations — an exciting prospect for visual storytelling.
Also, the latest beta of Tasks and Collections is something I am excited about too.
How Craft Fits into My Workflow
So, how exactly do I use Craft into my routine? I write everything inside Craft. Craft will also be my canvas for brainstorming sessions, drafting outlines for blog posts, book-notes and organizing research materials. Its ability to link notes and create a visually coherent workspace will undoubtedly help me stay organized and focused.
For me, Craft is a single source of writing and knowledge building tool.
Looking Ahead
Incorporating Craft into my workflow is more than just an app upgrade; it’s an investment in enhancing my productivity and creativity. I eagerly anticipate exploring all the features Craft offers and am confident it will become an indispensable tool in my daily writing routine.
