Your digital library in your pocket.

In general, I have not considered this dedicated tool in my workflow but once I spend some time, I may have to change my opinion. Fabric is designed to be a central hub for all your digital content. Here's my first impressions.
Based on my personal requirements, I have choose to use following type of apps in my workflow:

  1. Notes app
  2. Task Manager
  3. Project & Knowledge Management app
  4. Calendar

& On and off, I felt a need of a digital collection app - a kind of digital library of all my collections of images, links, files, articles, videos etc. and Fabric.so is offers just that. I kind of liking the first experience with Fabric.so

Capture:

Fabric allows you to save content from across the web. This could be articles, videos, tweets, podcasts, or any other type of digital content. You can save content directly from your browser using the Fabric.so extension.
You simply start by a quick note, link or upload.

It is as simple as Ctrl+alt+F for Spotlight and for quick capture alt+N on Windows. This works like a charm and really liked the simplicity of it.

Organize:

Once you've saved content to Fabric, you can organize it in a way that makes sense to you. You can create collections of related content, add tags to make content easier to find, and even add your own notes to content.
Organize your content in your favourite spaces; For my kind of use - I generally start with idea-inbox, content specific: like Tribology, the app advocate etc.

Retrieve:

Fabric makes it easy to find the content you've saved. You can search for specific content, browse your collections, or explore content based on tags. The goal is to make it easy for you to find the content you need, when you need it.
Fabric has one of the most preferred view; Timeline ViewFuture road map also offers an interesting promise of improving search for better results with AI integration.
Fabric will automatically connect the objects and information, ideas. Kind of ultimate and automatic management of your digital library.

Collaborate:

Fabric also allows you to share your content with others. You can invite others to view your collections, collaborate on collections together, and even share individual pieces of content.
Collaboration can be done for 'Space' specific. You can gather information, build and review. A very powerful tool for the teams.

Fabric is in Beta and available as Desktop app, iOS and Android app. Fabric also have Chrome extension to help you capture your ideas.
Fabric offers 14 days free trial & Pro plan starts at 9$/month or 89$/paid annually. Fabric also have Believer plan where you can pay 160$/one time and get Pro for a lifetime.

In essence, Fabric.so is designed to be a personal library for your digital content. It's a place where you can save, organize, and retrieve content, and share it with others if you choose.
