"Embracing Kortex: A Writer's Journey to Enhanced Productivity and Creativity"
After years of exploring various writing apps, I have found one that not only meets my expectations but exceeds them. Kortex, unlike other apps, offers a complete writing system that has captivated my interest from the get-go. Having penned two introductory posts about Kortex, I am excited to announce my decision to make it my primary writing tool.
As someone deeply passionate about technology and writing, I’ve tested numerous productivity apps that boast impressive features. Yet, Kortex stands apart by offering an all-encompassing writing ecosystem. Although I’m still in the initial stages of integrating my workflow into Kortex, my early experience has been nothing short of promising. Allow me to walk you through my journey of planning and utilizing Kortex in my writing adventures.
Who Am I as a Writer?
Before diving into the specifics, a little about myself: while I haven’t published a book, I harbor three novel ideas that have lived within me for a long time. My primary focus is on crafting characters, themes, settings, and introductory chapters for my debut novel. Besides, I’ve authored approximately 150 blog posts on productivity app reviews and comparisons, and written around 100 poems in my native language, Gujarati. In essence, I consider myself a poet at heart with a love for everyday technology.
First Use Case: The Departure
My first novel in progress, tentatively titled “The Departure,” explores Shekhar Anand’s journey of self-realization. After a thriving business career, Shekhar is consumed by a profound sense of dissatisfaction. He chooses to leave it all behind and finds solace in the Himalayas. Yet, after a decade of solitude, he feels an undeniable urge to return to family and society. Exploring the reasons behind his return is a narrative I’m eager to delve into.
Kortex’s “Elements” and connections feature will be instrumental in maintaining the narrative flow as I write daily. By consistently dedicating time each day to this story, I aim to bring Shekhar’s journey to life.
Second Use Case: Write Your Day — Atomic Essay
Mindful journaling has become a cornerstone of my writing routine. Although I can’t journal every day, I usually allocate 10–15 minutes for what I call “Write Your Day — Atomic Essay.” Recently, I realized the need to give this practice a more structured approach.
For the past 16 months, I’ve journaled without a specific framework, allowing thoughts to flow organically. With Kortex, I’ve crafted a simple “Element” with outlines to guide my atomic essays. These fragments of thoughts will form connections that enrich my writing process.
Third Use Case: Blogging
As an accidental blogger striving to master the art and science of blogging, Kortex has proven invaluable. Its vibrant community of experts dedicated to knowledge sharing keeps it at the top of ‘exclusive apps for creators.’
I enjoy the simplicity of having a consistent format for my blog posts. Previous attempts at structuring and templating my blogs haven’t been as successful as I’d hoped. With Kortex, I aim to write about everyday productivity by using “Capture & Connections.” I want to draw ideas from my atomic essays, quick notes, reading insights, and learning experiences from books, courses, and various platforms.
Kortex will help me capture ideas, connect them to relevant topics, and craft cohesive articles. It’s the perfect writing companion for my blogging endeavors.
Explorations and Experiments
While these are my primary use cases for Kortex, I am eager to further explore and experiment with the system to fully harness its potential. I believe Kortex will significantly enhance my productivity and creativity.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I’d love to hear about your writing systems. Your inputs and feedback are welcome.
Stay productive.
Astu.
