Discovering Focus with Brite: A Comprehensive Review with ADHD Features
Brite; an all-rounder app for your daily productivity.
In the rapidly advancing digital age, the need for effective productivity tools has never been more critical. With a plethora of tasks to juggle daily, the quest for the perfect productivity app is a journey many of us embark on. Today, I want to share my experience with an app that has significantly transformed my productivity landscape — Brite.
## My Path to Better Productivity
Before diving into the specifics of Brite, let me first shed some light on my understanding of productivity and its impact on my life. I firmly believe that not everything needs to be done today; it’s essential to prioritize tasks and act based on these priorities.
This is a golden era to be alive, teeming with opportunities to share ideas, work on self-improvement, and contribute to the global community. And for me, this is a period of my life that I cherish deeply.
However, reaching this understanding wasn’t instantaneous. It took time, patience, and a fair share of trial and error. But the result? An invaluable insight that now assists me immensely in my professional and personal life. Yet, two aspects continue to be my primary focus areas — deep work sessions and journaling.
One common misconception in today’s fast-paced world is the glorification of multitasking. I confess I was a part of this league, juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and often reaching a standstill.
I’ve learned that your working environment and the tools you use mirror your mind. We need to choose wisely and treat them mindfully.
## Introducing Brite
Despite having no plans to add any new apps to my core system, Brite has emerged as an indispensable tool in my productivity arsenal. It has significantly enhanced my focus on two key areas — Journaling and Deep Work.
I recently penned an in-depth review of my initial use of Brite, an elegantly designed all-in-one productivity app. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and as I prepared to explore other apps for review, the team behind Brite released a feature set that struck a chord with me.

A Closer Look at Brite’s Key Features
## Routines Library
One of the core understanding I developed over time is, doing things regularly and building micro habits or routines can be game changing.
As of now, I am working on 4 major routines to incorporate in my day, for example; a habit of being mindful for at least 10 minutes of meditation, a routine of workout for at least 30 minutes a day, a micro habit of journaling like write your day and recently just 2 months back added one more micro habit of 10 minutes of language learning with Duolingo.
To my surprise, It feels really good end of the day and on most of the day I am able to do all the major 4 micro routines.
With Routines Library in Brite; it is actually very close to my understanding of building routines in your day. I really liked to inbuild options like stretching, prioritizing, mindful breathing etc.
This simple and structured system of routines helps greatly in reducing mental load, keeping one focused and organized throughout the day.
## ADHD Journaling Library
Journaling can be incredibly therapeutic for individuals with ADHD. It provides an outlet to externalize thoughts and feelings, which may otherwise remain tangled in their minds. Brite’s ADHD Journaling Library offers prompts and structure, to make most out of your day.
I have been late to the party of daily journaling, and one of the core routine I am looking forward to develop is to write your day. Where in my write your day system, I do not have any structure, it is more of a random ideas, thoughts and things I experience throughout the day. Where as with Brite, journaling has one of the best prompts; specifically focus and productivity journaling and plan for tomorrow template;
The prompts helps you to capture the essence of your day, for example from the focus and productivity journal:
- how well you were able to focus on your tasks today?
- any particular task or distractions that challenged your focus?
- are you able to identify any strategies to maintain your focus?
- any periods of hyper focus or difficulty in shifting your attention?
As you can see; these are very basic but brilliant queries to help you capture your day in detail.
## New ADHD-Friendly Backgrounds
Visual stimuli can be distracting for people with ADHD. The ADHD-friendly backgrounds in Brite are designed to minimize visual clutter and distractions, providing a calming workspace that can help maintain focus on tasks at hand.
I am person of music, and my personal experience is that I do much better with my favorite playlist on. However, the library inside Brite has something even better.
My favorite — Rain. It is just couple of days but I am loving to write my day with the background of soothing sound of rain drops. It just feels amazing.
In addition to the calming rain sounds that I adore, Brite’s recent update introduces a diverse Noise Library, featuring brown, white, and red noise. This variety caters to different auditory preferences, offering a unique way to enhance focus and minimize distractions. Whether you need a consistent hum or a gentle whoosh, this feature is a secret weapon for maintaining concentration in various working or studying environments.
This is not all; 2 more interesting features specially designed for ADHD users.
## ADHD Challenges Library
Transforming the traditional task list, this feature offers structured challenges designed to motivate and engage. It’s a dynamic way to approach daily tasks, turning mundane activities into stimulating experiences. This library is particularly helpful for those who thrive on accomplishment and gamified task management.
## Pomodoro Timer for ADHD
Brite introduces a unique feature in the market — customized Pomodoro Timer setups for different ADHD types. Recognizing the distinct challenges faced by individuals with Hyperactive and Inattentive ADHD, the app offers two specialized configurations. For those with Hyperactive ADHD, there’s a concise 15-minute Pomodoro timer, designed to cater to shorter attention spans and the need for frequent breaks.
Conversely, for individuals with Inattentive ADHD, the app provides a prolonged 25-minute Pomodoro setup, accommodating their requirement for extended focus periods. This thoughtful customization ensures that users can choose a rhythm that best suits their personal focus and productivity patterns, making it a standout feature in the realm of productivity apps.
Great work team Brite. I am really excited to explore and use the additional features. Keep up the good work.
In conclusion, Brite has proven to be an essential asset in my productivity toolkit. Its unique approach to enhancing focus and promoting mindful productivity, especially for individuals with ADHD, has been a game-changer in my productivity journey. As we continue to navigate the digital age, tools like Brite will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the way we manage our tasks and time.
