A look at the best of both the worlds.

Calendar — has become an essential part of my day and work, to stay organized and productive.

This is the major shift or change, I am bringing into my workflow.

Whether you’re a student, a professional, or a stay-at-home parent, having a calendar can help you keep track of important dates, appointments, deadlines, and more. But what makes a good calendar, and how can you use it to maximize your productivity?

First, you need to find a calendar that works for you. Whether you prefer digital or paper, it’s important to find a calendar that you’ll actually use.

If you’re more of a paper person, there are plenty of well-designed planners are available and can be the best option. If you’re more tech-savvy, there are plenty of digital calendar apps available. I am with the digital one, here.

Once you’ve got your calendar set up, it’s time to start using it. Actually.

And what am I using is not one but two of the best app, Cron & Amie.

This is for me, I needed this blog to clear my head.

My heart is drawn to the aesthetically pleasing Amie, while my head is drawn to the reliable Cron.

The question is, what are your needs from the Calendar?

A typical use case of Calendar is to add any upcoming events or deadlines, as well as any recurring tasks or appointments. This will help you stay on top of your commitments and ensure that nothing slips through the cracks. You can also use your calendar to plan out your day. Set aside specific blocks of time for completing tasks and make sure to stick to your schedule. This will help you stay focused and productive.

Finally, use your calendar to track your progress. Whether it’s a big project or a small task, make sure to add it to your calendar so you can keep track of your progress. This will help you stay motivated and on track.

Both the apps are well-designed, and I truly appreciate the thoughts behind the very intuitive and solid build of the apps.

Amie shines thru a super intuitive, interface and experience and Cron has the best mobile experience I have ever had.

Here’s a link to my blog posts on individual apps;

Amie — Calendar, Schedule, To-do & Personal CRM at your fingertips.

There are some differences to highlight here;

Amie offers more than a simple calendar app, it is also a To-do, personal RM. While Cron is simply a better calendar.

Amie has a dedicated area for your To-do and looking forward to integrating To-do in your Calendar, a clever design idea and well-implemented. I am truly appreciating the focus of the team in building and delivering the most aesthetically pleasing app at your fingertips.

You can explore and experiment with the early version of Amie by enabling the experiments feature. The future roadmap of Amie is what excites me the most.

Cron has the most simplistic design, I love every interaction with the app be it on the web version or on iPhone. It offers very clean, fast, super simple, and amazing sync are the reasons for me to go for this app.

I am not fond of having an inbox in my every app & for sure, Calendar is not the right space for me to have Inbox, it is still confusing for me.

We all are mostly mobile, and use our phones to plan our priorities.

Here’s an example of both apps:

It is a pleasing experience to use any of the apps on a mobile device and both offer an excellent UI/UX with a super design.

When I had two great applications that both provided a similar service and I felt strongly about both, I wrote a blog post to help me decide.

After doing so, I chose the one that felt the best for me, which is Cron, At this moment.

I hope this post can help others or at least motivate them to write something of their own.

Thanks for reading.

Keep reading, keep sharing.
